NEIBAUER posted by Ruth on Friday, September 4, 1998: My father-in-law's family came from a town in Russia by the name of Koutz in the Volga Valley somewhere around 1914. It was originally a German town and in the reign of Catherine it was given to Russia so had to be on or close to the border. Do not know his father's name but can find out and let you know. They had 3 children when they arrived in Montana and 4 after they got here (or vise-versa). The names that I can remember are Jake, Bill, Alex (Tex), Dave -- will have to send the rest. The family name was Neubauer but somehow was changed. All except one of the decendents remained in Montana (Billings, Chinook, LaHavre) except Bill who ended up in Texas. If you are interested I can get some further information from my mother-in-law. Father-in-law is deceased.

HAYWARD, NEIBAUER posted by Marolyn on Friday, September 4, 1998: Ellen Neibaur Hayward ( married William Gammon Hayward). They lived at Paris, Idaho and had 12 children. One of her daughters, Ellen Hayward, married Erman Alexander Stevens, and they lived at Bloomington, Idaho. Ellen Hayward died in 1945, when I was seven, and unfortunately, I don't remember her . My grandmother Stevens was such a loving person, that I was wondering what her mother must have been like.

He married Ellen Breakell on 16 Sep 1833 in England, he died 15 Dec 1883 in Salt Lake City, Utah. We receive the Neibaur Neighbor each year announcing their reunion. Are you part of this group.
